CORPORATE INFORMATION:
Plycon's Armory is a subsidiary company of Plycon Computers, Inc. of Valdosta Georgia.
Plycon's Armory was incorporated in February of 2002 and is a completely separate business entity.
The Armory handles all sales related to airsoft, weapon replicas, and associated accessories.
The Armory currently shares retail, warehouse, and shipping resources with it's parent company. Facilities consist
of a 4000 square foot brick and mortar retail store with additional warehouse space to handle mail order processing.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Plycon's Armory is located in Valdosta, Georgia. Valdosta (known as the "Azalea City" for the large numbers
of azalea plants located all over the area) is located near the border between Florida and Georgia.
Valdosta is a miltary and college town - home of Valdosta State
University and Moody Air Force Base.
This produces a community with a population from all over the world - but it still has the "feel" of a city located in
the deep south. And yes, it's very hot and very humid here!
My addiction to airsoft started in 2001. I grew up here in south Georgia, and I was raised with guns and taught to
respect them, and how to safely use them. Upon marrying my wife (and business partner) and buying a new home - I
discovered that she hated guns and was not happy about having my collection of real steel weapons in our house.
Marriage is all about compromises - so we reached an agreement: Replicas were fine for show inside - but the real
steel was safely locked up out of sight. So - I started searching for replicas!
We import products from Japan and Taiwan all the time due to our computer business, and several of my purchasing agents
there had mentioned to me that they played airsoft on the weekends ( they described it as Paintball with weapon
replicas...). A bit of research - and I was hooked! I had played Paintball often - but this was something much
better (IMHO). 1:1 Scale reproductions that had automatic rates of fire! Oh yeah!
One week later I had imported several AEGs and every employee in our computer store was hooked. We're normally
used to guys quoting encyclopedic levels of information about computer parts - but all of sudden we started
debating rate of fire figures, weapon upgrades, etc. This was a huge change from the normal
Intel vs AMD arguments we're used to. ;-)
So - why did we start a separate airsoft business? Local response to the products was amazing,
and most of the online stores state-side selling these items seemed to be run out of someone's garage
or basement. They couldn't accept credit cards online, didn't actually stock the majority of what they
listed on their sites, shipped slow, and their websites looked like they were made by children.
Considering we're very experienced at web based sales, with an excellent
reputation for quick shipping, quality products, and great customer service - we were sure we could do it better.
We're a real brick and mortar business. We have a large warehouse filled with high tech computer parts
and kick ass airsoft replicas. We answer the phone during normal business hours. We're legal in every possible way.
We hope that you'll give us a chance to earn your trust and business. You'll find us honorable and fair - and easy to deal with if you should ever have a problem.
